The relative speed between two members is 60-50 =10
i.e per hour second travels 10kms more ,according to ques. he travels 120km more hence they travels for 12 hours. the total distance travelled by them is 12*50 + 12* 60 ==1320.
the total distance travelled by them is difference since they are away from each other.

let x is the distance travelled by A and y is the distance travelled by B.
acc. to ques y=x+120 afetr meeting each other
dA/dB=50/60=5/6
soo
dA/dB=x/x+120
after solving ...
x=600
y=720
so
total distance=x+y=1320

They have traveled for equal time, so let us assume first one traveled d kms then second have traveled d+120 kms,
d/50 = (d+120)/60
On solving: d=600 kms
d+d+120 = 1320 kms
