x*y=1/9 and 12*y*0.9 =1/30. solve two equations by dividing second by first.we get x =36. where x = no. of chickens and y = intake of fodd per day.

x chicken * 9 days = 10.8 chicken * 30days
x=10.8*30/9 = 36
he had 36 chicken)x chicken eat 1 sack per 9 days
then he keeps 12, but cuts the feed by 10%,
so the 12 chicken now eat as 12-10%=10.8 chicken would have before
so 10.8 chicken eat a sack per 30 days

Let x be the number of chickens
Per day consumption = 1/9 Sack, Consumption of a chicken per one day = 1/9x.
12 chickens needs 12/9x sack of corn.
After 10 % feed cut consumption per day becomes (.9) 12/9x. For 30 days = (30) (.9) 12/9x
Equating this to 1 sack, we get x = 36
