area of circle= pi r^2
area of square= 2 r^2

let the radius of the circle be 'r'
then the largest square that can be fit into that circle, is having its diagonal equal to the circle's radius,

thus writing its square's side (a) in term of circle's radius(r) ,

r=(root 2)*a;
thus a=r/(root 2)

now finding the ratio,
area of square/area of circle

= (r^2 / 2) / (pi*r^2)
