for A it takes 10hr for one publication
for B it takes 12hr for one publication
here they said that both A and B working independently for 2 publications
A and B starts at same time so A finish in 10hr and B finish add 2hr after A finished
so the total time require both of them to make two publications is 12 hr

12 hours because by 12 hours a completes 1 publication and a completes 1 publication.
So by 12 hours 2 publications are completed.
