When A covers 100m, B covers 85m
When B covers 100m, C covers 90m
When B covers 85m, C covers 76.5m
When A covers 100m, C covers (100-76.5)=23.5m
therefore, Speed= D/T= 23.5/5= 4.7m/s

=25/5
=5 m/s.

when A covers 100 B covers 85
when B covers 100 C covers 90
i.e when B cover 1m C covers.9m
so when B covers 85 C covers .9*85=76.5m
i.e A cover 100 C covers 76.5, total difference=100-76.5=23.5
speed of C is 23.5/5=4.7m/s

A beats B by 15m and b beats c by 10m
this means a beats c by (10+15)m and 5 sec
so c covers 25m in 5 sec
and 5*60m in 60 sec
so speed of c is 300 m/min
which is 18 km/hour

when A is at 100m B is at 85 m and when B is at 100m C is at 90
putting them on one line C at 76.5m when A is at 100m and B is at 85m
so A needs 5 sec to cover those 23.5 m
speed of A=23.5/5=4.7m/s
time taken by C-time taken by A=5sec


d/s (of C) - d / s (of A)=5sec
23.5/s - 23.5/4.7=5
s=2.35m/s which is speed of C

when A is at 100m B is at 85 m and when B is at 100m C is at 90
putting them on one line C at 76.5m when A is at 100m and B is at 85m
so A needs 5 sec to cover those 23.5 m
speed of A=23.5/5=4.7m/s
so A will cover 100m in 100/4.7=21.27s
then C will cover in 21.27+5 sec=26.27s
so speed of C to cover 100m in 26.27sec,,,so speed of C= 100/26.27=3.80 m/s
ANS:3.80m/s

wen A=100 B=85 & wen B=100 C=90.
hence, wen A=100 B=85 C=76.5 (by unitary method)
therefore,speed=dist/time
dist(btween A & C )=100-76.5=23.5m
sp= 23.5/5 = 4.7m/s ans!

let speed of a = x m/s
t= 100/x sec
in this time b travels 85 and c travels 75 mtrs
hence
S=(85/100)*x
and
S=(75/100)*x ............................................(1)


now again t is 5 sec more than t
=> t(C)=100/x+5
again S can be written as distance/time

=> S=100/(100/x+5)..........................................(2)
equating 1 & 2 we get x=100/15 m/sec
hence S=5m/sec

ans=5

A beats B by 15m which means A is ahead of B by 15m at the end.
B beats by 10m says B is ahead of C by 10m
Totally C is 25m(10+15) behind of A and C is beaten by A by 5 sec.
i.e.. C needs 5 sec to cover 25m
speed=25m/5s=5m/s===>300 meters per minute

it is clear that A fst compltd the race. when a is at 100 mtr b must be at 85 mtr.
nd it is given that when b is at 100 mtr c must be at 90 mtr. but when b is at 85 mtr c will be at 85*90/100 = 76.5
now the distance they covered in same time duration is 100:85:76.5
so now timr taken vl be irproportional to the distance travelled
taken time's ratio will be 76.5:85:100100/85,
speed of a,b,c is respectively :)
difference is given in time btw a& c is 5 sec.
equation can be summarised as : 100/(76.5x)- 100/(100X) =5sec.
x= .0614379
speed of c is 100/(100*.0614379)=16.27
ans 16.27 per sec

beats B by 15m means when A moves 100m B moves 85m.
B beats C by 10m means when B moves 100m C moves 90m.
=>when B moves 1m C moves .9m. =>when B moves 85m C moves .9*85m=76.5m.
If A beats C by 5 sec =>c takes 5sec to moves 23.5m.
=>c takes 1sec to moves 4.7m. =>speed=4.7m/sec

A/B=100/(100-15)= 20/17........(1)
B/C=100/(100-10) =10/9............(2)
LET A beat C by y m
so A/C=100/(100-Y)
from (1) and (2) we get
Y=23.5m
so distance=speed*time
23.5=V*5
V=4.7m

ratio of speed of A and B = 100/85 = 20/17
, ratio of speed of B and C = 100/90 =10/9 -->
ratio of speed of A and C = 20/17 * 10/9 = 200/153 = 100/76.5 ,
A wins the race by 23.5 m ,
after 5 sec C also reaches the end point ,
means speed of C = 23.5 / 5 = 4.7 m/sec
