let the amount of 30% methyl solution be "x" litres and that of 70% methyl solution be "y" litres.
then:
amount of methyl alcohol in "x" litres is 0.3x litre.
amount of methyl alcohol in "y" litres is 0.7y litre.
then:
according to the given condition = (0.3x + 0.7y)/(x+y) = 0.6
on solving the above equation we get:
x/y = 1/3
means x:y = 1:3
