Let there will be xkg of wheat.
CP of mixture = 100*7.2/120 = Rs 6 per kg
A/Q
total cost before mixing=total cost after mixing
(66+x)*7.2=66*6.4+4.8x
so x=22;

so,the ratio of mixing is=1.20:3.60=1:3
so, 3/4=66 i,e 1/4=66/3=22
so,22Kg wheat was mixed.(Ans)

SP of mixture = Rs 7.2 per kg
CP of mixture = 100*7.2/120 = Rs 6 per kg

By method of alligation
Ratio of Rs 4.8 kg wheat and Rs 6.4 kg rice to get a mixture of price of Rs 6 per kg will be
(6.4-6): (6-4.8) i.e. 0.4 :1.2 or 1:3
so 66 kg of rice of Rs 6.4 per kg should be mixed with 66*1/3 = 22 kg wheat costing Rs 4.8 per kg.

let the required weight be x...so required cost be 4.8x + (6.4*66)....now this is equal to 6(x+66)...since 20% gain implies 120/100 is for 7.2(x+66)...if we calculate for normal price with out gain...then for 100/100 it is 6(x+66)
so...6(x+66) = 4.8x + (422.4)...so x=22

(7.20-6.40):(7.20-4.8)=.8 : 2.4
(x/66)=(.8/2.4)
x=66/3
x=22 ans
