Population of a town 3 years ago= 3600
Population of a town now= 4800
change in population= 1200
Population growth per year= 1200/3=400
so after 3 years we have total population= 4800+(400*3)
=4800+1200
=6000

rate of growth of population is 1200 for 3 years which means 400 per year...after 3 years from now...population will be 4800+1200 = 6000

Population growth is 100/3%. Hence for 100/3 % of 4800 it will be 1600. total is 6400
