There is one formula...use this fromula for this type of questions

angle=30(hours)-(11/2)(minutes)
=30*3-(5.5*25) (hour=3 and minutes=25)
=90-137.5
=47.5(consider only the numbers neglect the +ve and -ve signs)

angle traced by hour hand in 12 hr=360deg
i.e. at 3:25 which is 41/12hr angle traced= 360/12 * 41/12= 102 1/2deg
now,
angle traced by min hand in 60min =360deg
i.e. angle traced in 25min = 360/60 * 25 =150deg

so, the angle b/w hour and min hand= 150-102 1/2 = 47 1/2 deg

formula::angle=11/2m-30h
11/2 * 25-30*3
=95/2
=47.5

ans:60*

we all know that the angle at the time 3 O'clock is 90*
and the angle at the time 3:30 is also 90*
every 5 min increase or decrease 90/3= 30*
so the angle of 3:25 is 60*

Angle Traced by hour hand in one hour is 30deg.
Angle Traced by hour hand in one minutes is 0.5deg.
Normally Answer should be 60deg(3 to 5) but due to 25 min hour hand shifted by (0.5*25)=12.5
Answer=(60-12.5)=47.5

don't go for large methods
simple use d formula angle={1/2[60H-11M]}
=1/2[60*3-11*25]
=47.5
