two sets have 6 questions each
to satisfy the condition given he must attempt (2,4)or(3,3)or(4,2)
selecting 2 out of 6 from 1st set & 4 out of 6 from 2nd set=6c2&6c4
so total=6c2*6c4 ways if(2,4)
similarly if (3,3) and (4,2) it has 6c3*6c3 ways and 6c4*6c2
total 6c2*6c4+6c3*6c3+6c4*6c2=850

the way he can select group = 2C1 = 2
for each goup he can answer in this way= 6C3 x 6C3 OR 6C4 x 6C2 or 6C2 x 6c4
so total ways = 2 x {6C3 x 6C3 + 6C4 x 6C2 + 6C2 x 6c4}
=1700 ways

ans frm the 2 sets mst b in d form:(2,4)(3,3)(4,2)
so,no. of ways shud b:6c2*6c4+6c3*6c3+6c4*6c2=50 ways
