suppose total age of four ppal = x
so before 4 years , the total was x-16
so that the avg (before 4 yrs) = (x-16)/4 =45.. x=196
now after some days 49yrs is being added.
So avg is , (x+49)/5 = (196+49)/5 = 49

The average age of the four before 4years is 45.
The average age of the four men now is 45+4=49 years.
one man is added and his age is 49.
the average age of all will remain same i.e. 49 as age of new man = av. age of 4 men.

The average age of the four before 4years is 45.
The average age of the four men now is 45+4=49 years.

p1+p2+p3+p4/4=49

p1+p2+p3+p4=196

after one joined 196+49=245

so now 254/5=49

so answer is 49

since 5th person also at the age of 49 average remains same.

* answer 49
* let us assume those 4 memebers age is a,b,c, and d respectively.
* 4 years before their respective age is a-4, b-4,c-4,and d-4.
* but, in that time the average of 4 memebers age is (a+b+c+d-16)/4 = 45.
* now,we can get the average age of present year.
i.e (a+b+c+d)/4 = 49.
now add one person with age 49.
* so, average age of 5 members is 49.

4 year ago the age=4*45
so after 4 year(today) the 4 man age=4*45+4*4=196
5th man age=49
so total of 5 man avg=(196+49)/5=245/5=49

(x^x)^x – x^(x^x) = 0
How many values of x are possible?

Possible answers are 3 values even if 0 is not considered.

as x can have values -1,1,2 .

Pls check and correct ur solution pls.

as all men grow 4 years average will grow by 4 too.
((49*4)+49)/5 = 49

total=49*4
avg age of all=49*5/5=49

B4 4 YEARS,TOTAL AGE=Z-4*4=Z-16
B4 4 YEARS AVG=(Z-16)/4=45...SO Z=196
NOW,Z+49/5=196+49/5=49

Answer is 49;
before 4 is 45 i.e now 49,
49*4(men)=196
one person added s0, 49(now age of 5 th)*5(men)=245
then 245-196=49
