x^2 + 1/x^2 + 2 = 3

so x^2 + 1/x^2 = 1

or x^4 + 1 = x^2

or x^4 - x^2 + 1 = 0

or x ^6 + 1 = 0 ( multiplying by x^2 + 1)

x = (-1)^1/6

putting this value of x in above equation

(-1)^12 + (-1)^11 + (-1)^9 + (-1) ^6 + (-1) ^4 + (-1)^1 + 1
= 1+(-1) + (-1) + 1 + 1 + (-1) + 1 = 4-3 = 1
