Let the number of days scheduled for the 1800 ton task be 3x.
Task planned to be done per day=1800/3x=600/x

Task done in 1/3rd of planned days=
(600/x - 20)*x
Task done in the rest 2/3rd of days minus 1 day= (600/x + 20)*(2x-1)

»(600/x -20)x + (600/x + 20)(2x-1)=1800
»xsqr - x - 30 = 0
»x=6

Task scheduled to be done per day=600/x=100tons
