answer 4. because when clock starts with 12.
first coincide 1:05
second coincide 2:10
third coincide 3:15
forth coincide 4:20



fifth coincide occur in 5:25 after the five hours. so they not consider further more

4 times becoz in 12 hours clocks hands coincide 11 times....that means for first time they coincide at 12 and again at 12 after 12 hours thus we could conclude that in 5 hours hands of clocks coincide 4 times

suppose the clock starts at 12 then already a collision is done ie at 12 then at 1.05,2.10,2.15,4.20
so on the whole 5 times

Ans: 5 times. In 24 hours the clock hand coincided 24 times. 2 times at 12, 2 times on 1(when its 1:05), 2 times on 2 and so on. Thus for 5 hours, the clock hand coincides 5 times

eg,, if start from 12
at 12 it will coincide ie the time starts..
1:05
2:10..
3:15
4:20

we need to check only bet,,, 5 hours.. so we need to skip 5:25 ...
hence its 4 times.

We start from 1200am, all three hands first coincide at 12:00 clockand then at 1:5:5, 2:10:10, 3:15:15 and 4:20:20....5 times is the answer

In 1 day it coincide 22 times,so for 5 hrs
22/5=4

the answer is 5 times.
solution is:-
from midnight to noon, i.e.AM

1st coincide-12:00
2nd coincide-1:05
2:11
3:16
4:22
5:27
6:33
7:38
8:44
9:49
10:55
so total 11 times, i.e. between 11-1 there is only one coincide i.e. at 12:00 not at 11:55 and then 12:00
, so in every 5 hours, it will coincide 5 times if taken from 12 - 5, coincides are - 12:00, 1:05,2:10,3:15,4:20
and if, taken from 1-6, still there are 5 coincides, 1:05(1-2), 2:11(2-3), 3:16(3-4), 4:22(4-5), 5:27(5-6)
but if we start from 11-4, between 11-1 there is only one coincide i.e. at 12:00, and further coincides are:-
1-2(1:05), 2-3(2:10), 3-4(3:15). then answer will be 4 coinicdes if taken from 11-4, if taken from 12-5 0r something else, the answer is 5.
