Ans) 60 men.
Work done in 25 days will be 100*25*8=20000 unit -which is 1/3rd(33.33%) of the total work done.
Now work left is 2/3rd(66.66%) = 2*20000=40000 unit {we get 2 by dividing 66.66 by 33.33}
40000 work to be done in 25 days working 10 hours a day.
No. of people required =40000/(25*10)= 160 man.
100 men are already working so 60 extra men are needed.
SO, No of men will be ={(2/3*20000)/(25*10)

(100*25*8)/(1/3) =((100+a)*25*10))/(2/3)

160=100+a

a=60

for 2KM it requires 100*50*8 hrs=40 000 hrs, So 2000 m in 40000hrs =1m/20 hrs
if 1/3 completed =2000/3=666 m(approx) in 25 days .Remaining Days 25.
Remaining to complete 2000-666=1334
to complete 1334 m it requires 1334*20 hrs
we have 25*10 hrs
SO mens requered= 1334*20/25*10=107(app)

I think some of the data that you have given here is incorrect chanki.

total work =1/3 work in 8 hrs a day +2/3 work in 10 hrs a day
50*2*8*100 =25*2*1/3*8*100 +25*2*2/3*10*y
=25*2*1/3 [800+20 y]
1600*3 =800+20 y
4000 =20 y
y =200
so extra men s is 200-100=100

yeah 60 is the right answer.try to understand first line those people think 100 men capable to do whole work in 50 day working 8 hours then u are wrong .and u solving the question with wrong assumption .you found 107-100=7 men (approx). and no of men be never approx, day or time may be approx.

M*D* H /W = m*d*h/w
(100*25*8)/(1/3)=(x*25*10)/(2/3)
x=160
160-100=60 more men
