Ans must be 4.
Process:
Apply log on both side
(x+2).log(x^2-x-1)=log(1)

so we know log of 1 is 0,So now the eq became
(x+2).log(x^2-x-1) =0
so,suppose x+2=0
.
. . x=-2
if x^2-x-1=0

x=2,-1;
and x=0 when we are putting x =0 in the above question.

Therefore total no. of solution for the the above question is 4.

2 will satisfy the equation because let us consider this equation as (X^2-X-1)^X+2=1^X+2 then X^2-X-1=1 and then X=2 will satiisfy the equation (note: 1^x+2=1)
