ans=10.9%
let us assume that cp=5x and mp=6x
And profit=6y discount=5y
i.e sp=cp+profit or mp-discount
5x+6y=6x-5y
y/x=1/11
we have to find %profit=profit*100/cp=6y*100/5x=6*1/11*100/5=10.9

let, c.p=5x
m.p=6x
let, profit=6y
discount=5y
now, s.p=m.p-discount=6x-5y
profit=s.p-c.p=>6x-5y-5x=6y
x-5y=6y
x=11y...................eqn.1
now,profit %= profit/c.p *100=6y/5x =(6y/(5*11y)) ...from eqn..1
= (6/55)*100=120/11 % ans

as cp:mp is 5:6 so mp is 6x and cp is 5x
profit =6y and discount=5y.
now he got a discount of 5y on mp
so his sp=mp-discount=6x-5y
he got a profit on cp
hence sp=cp +profit=6y+5x
equating SPs we got6x-5y=6y+5x
x=11y,x/y=11/1
profit %=(profit/cp)*100=6*100/55=120/11%

answer= 24%

cp/mp = 5/6 -----(1) and p/d = 6/5 -------(2)

we know marked price= mp= cp+ discount(d) (why bcoz in ratio you can see that mp > cp )

cp/cp+d = 5/6

d= cp/5

put value of d in equn (2)

p/cp = 6/25

for cp= 25% , profit is 6%
for cp = 50% , p = 12%
and so on ,,, so for cp= 100%, profit will be 6*4 = 24% ........---(ANs)

profit percentage=sp-cp/cp8*100
cp=5x,sp=6x.
6x-5x/5x*100,
x/5x*100,
100/5=20.
ans:20

11y=x
Now profit%=(6y/55y)*100

C:P= 5:6 & P:D=6:5
So Profit is any number multiple of 6 & Cost is any number multiple of 5.
Formula P%=(P/C)*100
so P%=(6/3)*100=20%. I think its 20%....
