given (m) + (m-3)^-1 = 6.
now split 6 as 3+3 and then send one of the 3 to the other side of equal to then the equation becomes as

(m-3) + (m-3)^-1 = 3 now take m-3=x
x+(1/x)=3.
[ x+(1/x)]^2 = 9
(x)^2 + (1/x)^2 + 2 = 9 now by resubstituting x=m-3

(m-3)^2 + (1/m-3)^2 = 7
