assume total students =100 in that 35 students are boys ,remaining 65 are girls........
20% of boys(35) =7
40% of girls(65) =26
totally (26+7)=33 mems went to outing...... 33 is 33% in 100
so, the answer is 33%

let total students=100
number of boys=35% of total students=35% of 100=35
number of girls =100-number of boys=100-35=65
total number of employees who have gone for outing =20% of 35 + 40% of 65=33
so out of 100 student 33 have gone for outing therefore there % will be=(33/100)*100=33% ----ANswer

bcz given data is boys 20%, girl 40%
20% = 20/100 = 0.2
40% = 40/100 = 0.2
we can assume total students are 100 members
in that student 35 students are boys then remaining 65 students are girls
then we can find out 0.2*35 = 7
0.2*65 = 26
now we can combined this two values we can get 33
finally the answer 33%
