Let total amount be 'x'
10% is spent on 1st item
therefore amount spent on 1st item=x*(10/100)=x/10
amount left=x-(x/10)=9x/10
%of amount spent on 2nd item=10%
amount spent on 2nd item=9(given)
amount spent on 2nd item=(9x/10)*(10/100)=9
x =100
money left in the wallet=money lost
x-(x/10)-9=money lost
100-(100/10)-9=81(A)

It's% so let's assume the amount as 100
1st thing 10% of 100=10
2nd thing 10% of 90=9
10+9=19
Remaining amount=100-19
=81

let I have x rupee in my wallet
then when i have purchased first thing i left with=( 90*x)/100; now the price of second thing was 10 % of money which i had left i.e. 9
now ((90*x)*10)/(100*100)=9
so x=100
i lost money=100-10-9=81

ex money in the wallet=x
to purchase 1st thing: 10%x =y
==>> x=10y
to purchase 2nd thing: 10%(x-y)=9
x-y=90
10y-y=90
y=10
so x=100.
for 1st thing: 10 rs & for 2nd thing: 9 rs.. total = 19
remaining lost amount=81 rs

1st purchase=10%of 100=10rs
remaining rs=90
then 2nd purchase=10% of remaining mney=rs 9
so paid amount=10+9=19
then lost money=100-19=81

10% of 100 = 10.
10% of remaining i.e 90 = 9
money lost = 100 - 19 = 81.

10%=rs 9 that is (9*100)/10=90,
(90*100)/10=900,
from that info if we had subtract the given info then it is 81
