On alternate day, it will take twice as much time taken to do work regularly. So work will finish in 34 days

Work done by A per day=1/18
Work done by B per day=1/24

When they work together; A works only on alternate days, so the work done by him will be 1/18 divided by 2=1/36

Hence the work done by both A and B,
=(1/36) +(1/24) =5/72

Therefore work will be completed in 72/5=15 days approx.
