x*y=240
2y=x+4
(2y-4)=x
2y^2-4y-240=0
y=12 years

let harshit be x yrs then haritika be 240/x.
2*(240/x)=4+x;
2*(240/x)-x=4; 480-x^2=4x; x^2 +4x-430=0; (x+24)(x-20)=0; x=20;
here haritika age =(240/20)=12 yrs

let harshit be x and haritika be y then,
x*y=240 -----eq(1)
y=2x+4 --------eq(2)
now, x=240/y
putting x=240/y in eq(2)
then, y=2*(240/y)+4
by solving these eq we get, y=24
therefore haritika's age is 24 years

Let harshit be x year and haritika be y year

x*y=240 therefore x=240/y--------------eq1
2y=x+4----------- eq2
subtitute value of x in eq2
2y=240/y+4
we get Quadratic Equation
y2-2y-120=0
factors of eqations are
y=12 and y=-10
ans=12 beacause age is always positve value
