Against=400

For-->
Let total initial vote =x
after abduction, vote= 2x/3
Against-->
Let total initial vote =y
new vote= 2y

So two equation can be formed
1) 2y-2x/3 = x/6 - y/2 ---> x=3y
2) x+y=800
Solve this, y=200, x=600
Now we have to find final vote in favour and against as we can see from above :
for the motion=2x/3=400 and
against the motion=2y= 400
so both 400 and 400

The motion was then rejected by a majority, which was 50% of that by which it would have been passed if none of these changes would have occurred.
And 1/3rd of the people who had decided to vote for the motion were abducted. Means, people who have vote for the resolution is 1/3 of the people who are against and rejected the bill.
so
Total Vote = 800
For = 200
Abducted = 600.

If 1/3rd of the people were abducted..how does it imply that people who voted for resolution were 1/3rd of the people who were against??
2/3rd of the people who decided to vote 'for' actually voted.. that means if 600 were to vote in favor then 200 were abducted and 400 people only voted in favor..
