when we add 1 to 4.28 become 5.28 and -3.28 become -2.28, then on the real line both are moved right side by one step equally

Answer is C because distance between 4.28 and -3.28 is 4.28-(-3.28)=7.46. If we add 1 to the both sides numbers changes to 5.28 and 2.28 and distance between them is 5.28-(-2.28)=7.46. so mathematically distance is same. Now logically speaking increasing 1 to a positive number increases that number by 1 and increasing negative number by 1 actually decreases the numerical value by 1 so result remains the same.

c.original distance=4.28+3.28=7.56.After adding 2,4.28 will be 5.28 & -3.28 be -2.28

Distance between 4.28 and -3.28 is 1.
Distance between the new numbers (4.28+1=5.28),(-3.28+1=-2.28)=5.28-2.28=3
Therefore new distance is 2 more than old distance.
