MILK container --- WATER container

(quantity | concentration=milk/total) --- (quantity | concentration=milk/total)


1L | 1 --- 1L | 1
1/2L | 1 --- 3/2L | (1*1/2)/(3/2)=1/3
1L | 1/2*1+1/3*1/2=2/3 --- 1L | 1/3

1/2L | 2/3 --- 3/2L | (2/3*1/2 + 1/3*1)/(3/2)=4/9
1L | 2/3*1/2+4/9*1/2=5/9 --- 1L | 4/9

1/2L | 5/9 --- 3/2L | (5/9*1/2 + 4/9)/(3/2)=13/27
1L | 5/9*1/2+13/27*1/2=14/27 --- 1L | 13/27


Therefore, at the end of 3rd iteration in the first container, Milk/Water = 14/(27-14)=14/13 and in the other it is 13/14.
