let's consider y=3
Then
2x+9=10
x=1/2
for this case x>0
now considering y=0
2x=10
x=5
x>0 holds
Now considering y=-1
2x-3=10
2x=13
x=13/2
x>0 holds
considering y=-100
2x-300=10
2x=310
x=155
x>0 holds
For any value of y, x won't be equal to 0
That's why x>0 is the correct answer
