1.5 hr travel+ 30 minutes halt+ 1 hr travel = total 3 hrs travelling then 90km travels in 1.5 hr and travel 50km in 1 hr. Total distance is 140 km.

bus covered a distance in (1.5 hour and 30 min. halt) 2 hour is = 1.5*60 = 90 km
remaing time to reach pune is only 1 hour then bus travels with the speed of 50km/h
now reamin. distance = 1*50 = 50 km
now total 50+90 = 140 km = ans.

Total time = 6pm-3pm =3hrs
In 1.5 hrs,
Distance covered d= 1.5 * 60 = 90 km
Remaining time = 3 - (1/2 +3/2) = 1 hr
In 1 hr,
Distance covered d= 1* 50 = 50 km
Total Distance = 90+50 = 140 km

bus start at 3pm with the speed of 60km/hr...so distance covered in 1.5 hr is 60*1.5=90 km
Now after covering 90km bus halts for 30 mins(0.5 hrs) so upto now the time is 5pm(3+1.5+0.5) after that bus travel at 50km/hr to reach pune at 6pm so time taken 1hr(6-5)...so distance covered in 1hr is 50*1=50km
so the total distance is 90+50=140km

In 1.5 hrs it travels 90km and in another 1 hr it travels 40 km .so, 90+40=140 km

30 minutes halt so (3pm+2hr=5pm)

Bus travels for 1.5 hrs with 60 kmph speed and covers a distance of 90km and halt for 30 minutes.so it is 5 pm after that it reaches to destination at 6pm with 50 kmph and covers 50km in one hour.
So 90+50=140km

Total time taken to each mumbai to pune is 3 hrs.(Given)
First 1.5 hrs, it travelled at a speed of 60kmph.
=> Total distance covered=90KM
The it had a rest of 30 mins.
So, Total time=2 hrs till now.
Then, for remaining 1 hour it travelled with a speed of 50kmph.
So, Total distance=90(FOr first 2 hrs)+50(Last 1 hour)=140 km.
So, 40 km is the answer(Option D).

given 1.5hrs, which is 1hr30min , convert into hrs=1+(30/60)
=3/2hrs.
d1=t1*s1=3/2*60=90
d2=t2*s2=1*50=50
D=d1+d2=90+50=140km.

140 is the answer.Because the train travels 90 kms for first 1.5 hours and halts for 30 mins.And travels the remaining 1 hour at 50 kms.So totally 90+50=140 kms at the end of 6pm

Distance =speed *time.
Here speed of the bus is 60kmph at beginning and moves for 11/2 hours time. So 30 min halt so total time 2 hrs completed.
Now speed is 50kmph
Time is from 3pm to 6pm ie total 3 hrs
So distance covered will be 60km +30km ie 90km
