wrong question as probability cannot be greater than 1 but here it is given that P(B) lives is 14/12 which is >1 thus question is wrong

Correcting the question :- The probability that A, B and C will live for more than 60 years is 1/ 2, 1/3 and 1/4 respectively. What is the probability that atleast 1 of them will be alive after 60 yrs of age?

Answer:-

Probability that atleast 1 person is alive = 1 - (Probability that all will die)

= 1 - ( Probability that A will die x Probability that B will die x Probability that C will die)

= 1 - ( (1 -1/2) x ( 1- 1/3) x (1 - 1/4))

= 1 - ( 1/2 x 2/3 x 3/4)

= 1 - (1/4)

= 3/4
