The avg.rainfall is 4.1 inches for 6 months from May to November
Thus the total rainfall during that period = 4.1*6 = 24.6 inches
The total rainfall is 39 inches
The rainfall for the remaining period = 39-24.6 = 14.4 inches
Therefore the average rainfall for the remaining 6 months will be 14.4/6 = 2.4 inches
