Solution: It is the law of averages and the price of the mixture would lie between the minimum and the maximum values which in this case are Rs. 10/kg and Rs 15/kg. Option 3, Rs 11.2/kg is the value that is between and hence is the answer.

just imagine buying 1/2 kg of 1st variety and 1/2 kg of 2nd variety of the same element we buy it as
5 rupees of 1st variety and 7.5 rupees of second variety
adding cost and quantity we get 5+7.5=12.5 rupees
1/2+1/2=1 kg
None of the options are correct. Think practically.. Ans is 12.5 rupees
