Questions 9-12 are based on the following : Three adults – Roberto, Sarah and Vicky – will be traveling in a van with five children – Freddy, Hillary, Jonathan, Lupe, and Marta. The van has a driver’s seat and one passenger seat in the front, and two benches behind the front seats, one beach behind the other. Each bench has room for exactly three people. Everyone must sit in a seat or on a bench, and seating is subject to the following restrictions: An adult must sit on each bench. Either Roberto or Sarah must sit in the driver’s seat. Jonathan must sit immediately beside Marta.

its in the form of 2 powers
in which odd powers term r added with 2 power the difference of power and base.
so its 2^0=1
2^1=2+[2^(1-2),which is less than 1 we consider it as 0]the answer is 2+0=2
2^2=4
2^3=8+[2^(3-2)=2^1=2]which is 8+2=10
2^4=16
2^5=32+[2^(5-2)=8]which is 32+8=40
2^6=64
2^7=128+[2^(7-2)=32]=160
SO THE NEXT TERM IN SERIES SHOULD BE 160.

Ans 160;
it is in 2's power and if power is odd then it will be added with ( 2^(odd pwr -2)).
2^0=1;
2^1=2+(2^{1-2})=2 because -1 is negligible
2^2=4;
2^3=8+(2^{3-2})=8+2=10;
so on....

What the hell>>>...>!!!!!!!!!!!!! the questions r in the top........!!! & the passage is in below .. is it the procedure??
and the thing there is no such numbering(9-12)..
