5184 = 3000*(1+20/100)^n where n is number of days taken to reach 5184.
(6/5)^n= 5184/3000=216/126= (6/5)^3
SO n=3
on Tuesday , population will be 3000*6/5
on Wednesday , population will be 3000*(6/5)^2
on Thursday , population will be 3000*(6/5)^3 = 5184

Monday - 3000, Tuesday = 3000+(3000*.20)= 3600

wednesday = 3600+(3600*.20) = 4320

Thursday = 4320+(4320*.20) = 5184

given on monday population 3000
tuesday 3000(1+ 20/100)=3600
wednesday 3600(1+ 20/100)=4320
thursday 4320(1+ 20/100)=5184.

on monday the population is 3000, and 20% of 3000 is 600
on tuesday the population is 3600(3000+600) and 20% of 3600 is 720
on wednesday the population is 4320(3600+720) and 20% of 4320 is 864
on thursday the population is 5184(4320+864).
so the answer is thursday.

Thursday as Monday is 3000 ,20% of 3000 is 600 so Tuesday is 3600,same 20% of 3600 is 900 so Wednesday population is 4500 and Thursday it will reach 5184

so on Tuesday it become 3000+20/100*3000=3600
Wednesday 3600+20/100*3600=4320
and on Thursday it become 5184

now 20% is 1/5 calculate 1/5*3000=600 so on tuesday, population will be 3000+600=3600

now 1/5*3600=720, so on wednesday, population will be 3600+720=4320

1/5*4320=864 so thursday's population will be 4320+864=5184
