Payment should be in ratio of work done by each per day.
i.e
ratio of earning will be
1/9 : 1/8 : 1/6
or
8:9:12

Lets calculate the work done by them individually in one day.
In 9 days, H can do 1 work.
Therefore, In 1 day , H can do 1/9 work.

In 8 days, R can do 1 work.
Therefore, In 1 day , H can do 1/8 work.

In 6 days, K can do 1 work.
Therefore, In 1 day , H can do 1/6 work.

So, proportion of work done by H,R,K is (1/9):(1/8):(1/6)
=>(72/9):(72/8):(72/6) [since, L.C.M of (9,8,6)= 72 so multiplying 72]
=>8:9:12

Ans: C.

x/9 + x/8 + x/6 =522
=>x=1296
then x/8 * 1296=144 x/9 * 1296=162 x/6 * 1296=216
144:162:216
=8:9:12
