The quantities of spirit in the mixture : 5/7,7/13
The quantities of water in the mixture : 2/7, 6/13
now, let the ratio in which these mixtures b mixed be x and y.
the ratio of spirit and mixture is 8/13.
the ratio of water and mixture is 5/13.
now we add n equate the spirit quantity
5x/7 + 7y/13 = 8/13
and then water quantity,
2x/7 + 6y/13 = 5/13
by solving this, we get x:y = 7:9
