Lets assume distance between his house and school is D and actual time is T

Distance/Speed=Time

D/4=T-10/60 Hours (1)
D/3=T+10/60 Hours (2)

(2) - (1) we get distance D
D/3 - D/4 = 20/60 Hours
D/12=20/60 H
60D=240
D=4
so the distance between his house and school is 4 km
