if the question is ok.
Then speed of in upstream is 129.6kmph.
now let speed of man=x and streem=y.
therefore, x+y=129.6(equn 1) for upstream and x-y=5(equn 2) for down stream.
now from equn 2 x=5+y.
put x in equn 1 2y=124.6
y=62.3kmph. which is the speed of current.
so option (e) is correct.

(36*18/5-5)/2=62.3

option e:
speed of stream= 1/2(down rate-upstream rate)
down rate =36m/s
up rate= 5*(5/18)=1.38m/s
so
1/2(36-1.38)=17.31m/s or 17.31*(18/5)=62.31 kmph
so correct ans is option e

rate of Down stream= u =36*5/18=10kmph
rate of up stream =v =5kmph
Speed of current = 1/2[u-v] = 1/2[10-5]=2.5 kmph
