total marks=400
ans is 87%
80% of 400 is 320,
already he got 80+66=146 marks
so, we need 320-146=174,and 174
87% of 200 is 174 so ans is =87%

((80*100/100)+(66*100/100)+(x*200/100))/4=80 (let % of maths be x)
x=87%

x=174

x=174
x%=(174/200)*100
=87%

total 320 marks he have to get to make allover 80 %.
he already got 80 in ph and 66 in chm, i.e 146 with in 200.
so! 320-146=174 marks needed to make all over 80%.
becoz math max no. 200 so! 174/2=87% he have to get...
ans =87.

The percentage scored by akshay in maths would be 87%.
Soln : total marks = 400 (100 + 100 + 200)
total marks obtained = 80 + 66 + x
now ((80 + 66 + x) / 400) * 100 = 80
x = 174
Now %age in matematics = (174/200)*100 = 87

let assume he scores x in maths.
asper the question he scores 80 out of 100 in physics and 66 in out of 100 in chemistry.
so we can write (80+66+x) 80
=> ------------- = -----
400 100
=>80+66+x=320
=>x=320-80-66
=>x=174
so he scores 174 out of 200 ,then we in percentage it is 87%.

(88+66+x)/400=0.8
x=166ans

His total score for physics and chemistry for 200 marks
Is = 80+66=146

His total percentage for three subjects is 80%
That means,
(146+X)/400=(80/100)
X=172

Thus, he has to score 172 marks out of 200 in maths.For 100, he has to score (172/2)=86 marks.
