14% of 5000 = 700
so valid votes =5000-700=4300
let loser get x votes, so winner gets (x+3x/20)=23x/20 votes
so x+23x/20=4300
43x/20=4300
x=2000
23x/20 = 2300
so winner get 2300 votes

if loser gets=A
winner gets=1.15A
so, A+1.15A=4300
therefore we get A=2000 & 1.15A=2300(winner)

loser got x votes
winner got approximately x+ 15% 0f 4300
then x+x+15% 4300= 4300
2x+645=4300
x=1827.5 is nearly equals to 1827
looser got 1827
winner got 1827+645+1=2473


defeater got 1827 and winner get 2473 votes

Of 5000 votes 14% are invalid i.e. 4300 votes are valid.
=> 4300/2= 2150 votes for both of them. As the winner won by a margin of 15%
=> 4300*(15/100) = 645. Therefore 2150+645= 2795.

Ans: 2795 votes for winning candidate.

so the total valid votes=5000-700=4300
consider loser votes be x
then winner votes are x+15%(x)
now the totalvalid votes== x+x+15%(x)=4300
2.15x=4300
x=2000(which is loser votes)
now the winner votes are=4300-2000=2300(final answer)

now no.of valid votes are:5000-700=4300
no.of votes obtained by two parties:4300/2=2150
the winning candidate gets 15%more votes so 4300*(15/100)=645.therefore 2150+645=2795.
no.of votes secured by the winning person is 2795

Valid votes = 5000 * 86/100 = 50*86 = 4300
Let num of votes got by winner = w. Votes got by the other person = 4300 ­- w
w ­ (4300 - ­w) = 0.15 * 4300, w=2472.5 which is approximately 2473.

2795 votes as 14% invalid so 700 votes are not valid so remaining 4300 as winner got 15% more than loser so he got 65% of 4300 so 2795

winner secure 15% more votes than the loser so,

solving this we get a=2000

Invalid Votes = 14 % (5000) = 700
Valid Votes = 5000 - 700 = 4300 = R (say)
Assume the looser got 'L" votes and winner got "W" votes.
W - L = 15% (R)
W + L = R
Solving we get W = 57.5% and L = 42.5%
So Winner got 57.5%(4300) = 2472
