1)The answer would be Rs 50 since a single press of

the Random button would determine the correct

labeling.

Here's the reason. Press the Random button. Since all

buttons are mislabeled, whatever the Random button

produces must be that drinks button (e.g. if tea,

label it Tea, otherwise label it Coffee). Now, since

the buttons were mislabled, you need only switch the

remaining two buttons labels.

2)g+m paint 36 boxes in 1 day
m+h paint 30 boxes in 1 day
h+g paint 48 boxes in 1 day
m+g+h paint 114/2=57 boxes in 1 day.
h paints 57-36=21 boxes in 1 day, g paints 57-30 =27

boxes in 1 day, m paints 57-48=9 boxes in 1 day.
g works for 4 days (108 boxes),m for 8 days (72

boxes),h for 8 days (168 boxes)
total 348 boxes

4)A+B 1 days work is 1/5

i.e A+B=1/5----->1

"A worked at twice the speed and B at half the speed"
this can be written as

2A+1/2B

complete in 4 days..This can be written as

2A+1/2B=1/4----->2

solving 1 and 2

we get A=1/10

Total days A takes to complete will be 10 days..

6)1st triangle formed by using 3 sticks ...
so remaining sticks are =87-3=84
all other can be formed by just using two sticks =84/2

=42

so total =42(by using two sticks)+1(by using three

sticks) =43

7)Formula

(100-loss%):1st Sp=(100-gain%): 2nd sp

100-a/10=100+a/12

Therefore a=100/11

10) 45231 cant be the order of typing.....
Suppose boss put first time 4 letters in order 1,2,3,4
Then definitely she will start typing the top one i.e

is 4th..after completing 4th letter...boss again put

the 5th letter on the top....she again choose the top

most tht is 5th one and type it...after tht queue will

have order 1,2,3
So she should choose the top most one tht is 3rd

card...but in option it is given 2 which is

wrong...check like this in all the options

11)we know (a+b)^2= (a^2)+(b^2)+2ab
form the question,
a^2=(2^74), a=(2^37), 2ab=2^2058, b^2=(2^2n)
therefore,2ab=2*(2^37)*(2^x)
find the value of x. 2ab=(2^((1+37+x)=2058)
solving this we get, x=2020.
2^(b^2)=(2^(2020)^2).
2^2n=(2^2(2020))
so n=2020

12)Distance = Speed * Time;
Let the distance will be 30m between Home and Office,
Hence Old Man's speed is 1m/min
and Young Man's speed is 1.5m/min

Old man starts at 10:00, and Young man starts at

Old man travels 5m, Young man travels 0m at 10:05
Old man travels 10m, Young man travels 7.5m at 10:10
Old man travels 15m, Young man travels 15m at 10:15

Consider his efficiency as 1 unit in each day..so he

completes total work in 15 days..

As he completed 3/5th of work i.e 3/5(15)=9units

remaining units=15-9=6 units

Consider paul efficiency as x unit in each day..as

they completed reaming work in 4 days

Therefore 6/(1+x)=4

x=1/2

paul efficiency is 1/2 unit in one day

He complete whole work 15/(1/2) i.e 30 days..

20) let the salary in 2003 be x
then,in 2004(increases by 20%) 120/100(x)=6x/5

then,in 2005(increases by 20%) 120/100(6x/5)=36x/25

Given that total sum is 36400

Therefore

X + (6X/5) + (36X/25) = 36400

we get X= 10000

In 2005

(36*10000)/25=14400

age of rohith on 1994=1994-x,
age of grandma on 1994=1994-(3844-x)
but rohiths age is half the age of grandma i.e
2(1994-x)=1994-(3844-x)
on solving we get x=1946
rohith age on 1999=1999-1946=>53

means,1994-r=(1994-g)/2

ans of ques 3: 3:2 not 1:6
reason:
let suppose perimeter of triangle is 12a
then Each side is 4a. We can see that the area of the equilateral triangle is
4a^2(underoot3).
Now let's look at the hexagon, it is made up of six equilateral triangles, so each side is 2a this time:
Using the same logic as before, let's calculate the area of each small equilateral triangle:
a^2.root 3

We can see by this that the ratio of At is not half of AT, it is 1/4 instead! Now when we look at the ratio of the area of the hexagon to the area of the large triangle, we get:
6[root 3.a^2]/4a^2.(root3)=3:2

ans fr 6th question..
go with the options ..
a)2 4 3 5 1
this order is possible..bcoz the boss had kept two letters 1 nd 2 ( 2 on the top) nd secretary started typing the 2nd letter..mean while boss had kept 3rd and 4th letter(on the top of 1st letter and 4th letter at the top).after the secratary is done with the 2nd letter she pick another letter from the top (i.e 4th letter) and starts typing..when she is done she picks 3rd letter and meanwhile boss keeps the 5th letter..wen she is done wid 3rd letter..she picks 5th letter and last 1st letter..
b) this option is not possible bcoz boss already piles 4 letters in the order of (1..2..3..4 of which 4 being the top ).wen the secratary done with 4 nd 5 letter..she picks another letter from the pile..in the options it is given as 2nd letter is top of 3rd letter which is not possible..bcoz 3rd letter cant be typed bfre 2nd letter

@SARATH A : but in the question its written that sticks are arranged in rectangular fashion so how can a triangle be formed..???

here, area of a triangle=1/2*(a*a)
area of a regular hexagon=(3*(root3)*(a*a))/2
therefore ratio=1/(3*(root3))=1/6(approx)

17>george complete the whole work in 9*(5/3)=15 days.
Let paul complete the whole work in x days.
remaining work (1-3/5)=2/5
george and paul both complete the work in 4*(5/2)=10 days.
then (1/x)+(1/15)=(1/10).
x=30.
19>avg of 1st 10 no.s=avg of last 20 no.
=>(sum of 1st 10 no.s)/10=(sum of last 20 no.)/20
=>2*sum of 1st 10 no.s=sum of last 20 no.s

given sum of years which they born=3844
1994-k+1994-2k=3844
k=3988-3844/3
k=48
