IF CORDS ARE IN THE SAME SIDE
THEN THE DISTANCE WILL BE = 4

AND IF IN THE OPPOSITE SIDE ,DISTANCE =28

ANS: 28 cm (16 cm + 12 cm)

hy ^ 2 = side1 ^ 2 + side2 ^ 2

1st triangle make as: (20 ^ 2) =(16 ^ 2) + (lenght 1 ^ 2)
so, by solving length 1 = 12 cm

2nd triangle make as: (20 ^ 2) =(12 ^ 2) + (lenght 2 ^ 2)
so, by solving length 2 = 16 cm

length 1 + length 2 = 12 + 16 cm = 28 cm

By using Pythagoras theorem,
Distance between centre and 32cm chord=12cm
distance between centre and 24cm chord=16cm
so, total distance=4cm or 28cm

ans= sqrt(400-256)+sqrt(400-24)=28cm

Ans will be 28 cms. 20^2=16^2+x^2 => x=12
Similarly, 20^2=12^2+y^2 => y=16.
Therefore distance = 12+16=28 cms.

distance btween two chords if they are on same side=16-12=4cm.

if 2 chords are in same side distance should ve 4cm
and if they are in opp dire it may be 28 cms

just split them into right angled triangles and find other side using hypotenuse as given radius!!!!
