we are concentrated to find the probability of losed card but, before the card was lost ...
There was total 52 cards...and no of spade cards were...13

so probability is=13/52 =1/4

After losing a spade: no of spades left=12
and total cards left= 51
so probability of two cards selected to be spade= 12c2/51c2

2)n(e)=11c1(3-there exists 13 cards since two cards drawn are spade remaining are 11)..

11/50 will be the r8 ans..
as 2 spade are drawn so 11 spades remain from 13 spade and 50 cards remain in the deck
so the probability that the lost card is spade is 11/50

p(A/B)=probability of A occur if given B occured=p(A and B)/p(B)
p(A/B)=probability of drawing 2 spades,if lost card is spade=12/51
p(A and B)=probability of lost card,drawn is spades=?
p(B)=probability of lost card spade=13/52 =>ans=(13*12)/(52*51)

that is (13c1) for the lost card which may b spade and another 13c1 for the random card which may b a spade.

P(A/B)=P(A and B)/P(B) ----> According to conditional probability.
let A=Spade is lost
let B= two drawn cards are spade
conditional prob means prob of a event given that other has occured. here in our case prob of A is to be found out given that B has occured.
P(A and B)= 12c2/51c2
P(B)=13c2/51c2(spade is not lost) + 12c2/51c2(spade is lost)
therefore, P(A/B)=12c2/(13c2+12c2)=11/24

i can't clear these explaination because question is What is the probability that the lost card is also spade? but you are done this sum before the card was lost ... why what is the reason pls anyone explain me

Since there are 4 spades and two spades are present even after loss, the probability of lost card to be spade is among remaining two cards
2/26 = 1/13

Total number of cards = 52

Total number of cards that are spade = 13


Given that the 2 cards drawn are spade

⇒ The total cards on the deck = 52 - 2 = 50

⇒ The total number of spades = 13 - 2 = 11


Find the probability that the card lost is a spade:

P(spade) = 11/50


Answer: The probability is 11/50
