there is simple trick
divide 35 in ratio 0f 4:3
so (35*4)/7=20 so age of paul is 20
(35*3)/7=15 age of paul.
this is aplicable only for the sum of gae which is multiple of 7(mind it).

Damn sure ....20 is the answer....

Peter. 2x. 35-2x
Paul. 35-2x. x
Now diff of their pres n past ages r equal
We get x as 10. So 2x is 20.....

its quite simple ... ans is 21..
21 + 14 = 35 ...
before 7 years ::::
21(peter'age)-7 = 2(14(Paul's age)-7)

any other value is not possible

Peter. 2x. 35-2x
Paul. 35-2x. x

Now difference between past n pres of both ages are equal..so
By solving we get x is 14....but peters pre age is 2x so 28 is answer...
