Amount = 1260 R = 10% T = 1yr
P.W(Present worth) = (100 * amount)/(100 + (R*T))
= (100 * 1260)/(100 + (10*1))
= 1145
T.D(True Discount) = (P.W * R * T)/100
= (1145 * 10 *1)/100
= 114.5
ans : none of these

10% discount on 1260 is 126. Which is not there. So my answer is D.

we know by formula:- decreased amount by next year=P(1-(R/100))^T....here, P=1260, R=10 and T=1....so, it comes out as 1134....so true discount=P-decreased amount=1260-1134=126....
hence, ans is D
