5(x+y)=4(2x+y/2) thus x=y
so a will take twice the time taken by a+b thus answer is 10 DAys

x+y=5 (x and y no of days by A and B respectively)
x/2 +2y=4 (as x increses its speed and hence decreases time same for B)
ans x=4,y=1,

Let the total wrk be 50units.A+B=5days A & B's one day work = 50/5*2 So per day each of them is 5 units.A works at twice speed so 10 units per day B does at half speed so 2.5 units per day. 10*4+2.5*4=50 So A alone can do the work in 10 days

10 days.... eqns formed will be a + b= (1/5) and 2a+(b/20=(1/4)
where a and b are one day work for a and b respectively.
solve it n u will get ans (1/10)
i.e., 10 dayzz

(1/x+1/y)*5= (2/x+1/2y)*4 i.e x= y
(1/x+1/x)*5= 1
x= 10 days

Since,SP is same for both items.
Let the SP for both items be Rs.100
Now for 25% profit using the formula
((SP-CP)/CP)*100=profit%,we get CP=Rs.80
Similarly for 20% loss using the formula
((CP-SP)/CP)*100=loss%,we get CP=Rs.125
now we can have total CP =Rs. 205 and SP=Rs200
so loss 2.5%
