ans is 3584.
4 digit no is formed using 0 - 9(10 nos)
if no start with 0 then it is a 3 digit no.
so we have 7 possible no out of 10 nos(excluding 0,3,6)= 7
in 2nd digit we have 8 possible out of 10 nos =8
in 3rd digit we have 8 possible out of 10 no=8
in 4th digit we have 8 possible out of 10 no=8
so, there fore =7*8*8*8=3584
ans is 3584

1 no= 7 possibilities excluding(0,3,6)
2nd no=8 possi exc(3,6)
3rd no= 8 possi exc(3,6)
4rd no= 8 possi exc(3,6)
7*8*8*8=3584..
but can anyone explain me that what will be the result of same ques when "or" is replaced by "and"???

Total 8 digits(excluding 3 and 6)
Thousands position is filled in 7 ways(excluding 0)
Hundredth Position is filled in 8 ways
Tenths position is filled in 8 ways
Finally Units position is filled in 8 ways
So totally 7*8*8*8 = 3584 ways...

contain=9000-3584=5416

in question 3 or 6 digit not allowed in 4 digit number

therefore 8*9*9*9=5832
[1,2,4,5,7,8,9,(3,6)]*[1,2,4,5,7,8,9,0,(3,6)]*[1,2,4,5,7,8,9,0,(3,6)]*[1,2,4,5,7,8,9,0,(3,6)] = 5832

There are 0-9 digits now in question 3 or 6 are not there so 7*8*8*8

4 digit number
at unit place we use 8 digit
ten place we use 8 bits
at hundred place we use 8 digit
at thousand place we can use only 7 digit because 0 is not added
lets answer is (8*8*8*7)=3584

there will be 7 choice for first place,8 for the rest 3 places so the answer
should be 7*8*8*8=3584
