go by option wise it will be easy.

in all options E is nowhere 2nd... so D is lying.D is among top 2 athletes
in all options E is among last 3..so E is truthful. hence D is not First.
So options a and b are dicarded.
in option c and d, A is behind E, so C is truthful and hence among last 3.
Therefore correct option is (d)
