Consider the max value in the options i.e 35
Given a+b+oranges=72 && 2a+3b+4(oranges)=216
considering oranges=35
a+b=37 && 2a+3b=76
on solving these both equations we get b=2 and a=35.
such that 35+2+35=72 && 2(25)+3(2)+3(35)=216 .obtained values satisfying both given eq's.ao max no of oranges is 35.

a+b+o=72 and 2a+3b+4o=216 on solving these 2 eqns we get b+2o=72 and if we follow the options then 35 can be the max no of oranges purchased

See i did this after watching the options..
the only multiple of 4 that gives 6 at unit place was 34 and which was a requirement for a valid sum
