lets assume x man decided to do a job in 8 days

8x = x + x-10 + x-20 + ....x-110
8x =-660+12x
4x =660
x=165(ans)

@Parag Kamra Since men dropped out every day i think the very first also 10 men are dropped so we should start from x-10 .............x-120

So x=195
Please Correct me if i am wrong

8x = x + x-10 + x-20 + ....x-110
8x =-660+12x
4x =660

Solving we get x= 165

Let the number of men in the beginning = a.
Therefore time taken by 1 man to do whole of the work = 8a days

Because 10 men are dropping everyday and the work finishes in 12 day, time taken by 1 man to do whole of the work = [a + (a – 10) + (1 – 20) + (a - 30) + (a -40) + (a – 50) + (a -60) + (a -70) + (a- 80) + (a – 90) + (a – 100) + (a -110)] days.

Therefore 8a = a + (a – 10) + (a – 20) + (a - 30) + (a -40) + (a – 50) + (a -60) + (a -70) + (a- 80) + (a – 90) + (a – 100) + (a -110)

8a = 12a – 660
a = 660/4 = 165
so answer is 165.

for the last 11 day's there are ( 11*10) mens are dropped out from the work.
if in 8 days the job can be done by 110 mens then
in 12 days mens re
