let x be mass of copper
let y be mass of brass
x+y=24
let c1 be cost of copper;
c2 be cost of brass
xc1+yc2=30.50
xc2+yc1=35.50
By adding these two
c1(x+y)+c2(x+y)=66
24c1+24c2=66
by simpling
4c1+4c2=11
and given
2c1+3c2=6.75
multiplying by 2
4c1+6c2=13.5
4c1+4c2=11
by substracting
c2=1.25
& c1=1.5

xc+b(24-x)=30.50
put x=2
2c+22b=30.05

19b=23.3
b=(23.3/19)
c=(6.75-(23.3/19))/2
c=2.76
