b and d are correct options. 19 bicycles means 38 wheels
182-38=144
144 is divisible by 4
similarly in the case of option d . 17 bicycles means 34 wheels
182-34=148
148 is divisible by 4

Let X be the possible number of bicycles & Y be possible number of 4whilers
Then
2X+4Y=182
If we put X=19 y=36
If we put X=17 Y=37
So x=19 & x=17 are possible answers

Data is not sufficient.. Actually along with total no of wheels total no of vehicles also should be given..

17 bicycle =34 tyres. now the remaining tyres are 182-34=148. since 148 is divisible by 4 , so the no. of cars is 148/4 = 37.

b:19 if there are 19 bicycle then,no.of wheels are 38 and total no.of wheels are 182 then 182-38=144,that there are 26 4 wheelers and 19 bicycle.

ans b & d simple just solve by the options 182-(20*2)=140. 140/4 4 refers the wheelers then it is not but both the answers satisfy here

for these type of questions just go through the options.
if no of cycles is 20=20*2=40wheels;remaining wheels 142/4=12*(22/4)..not possible
now take 19=19*2=38;remaining wheels 144/4=36(which is possible)
if u try for remaining cases it's not possible .hence ans is 19

Either 19/17
going by the question 4x+2y=182

and solving by eqns, which satisfies are both 19 and 17 so these two are the answers

in this type of que 1st subtract options one by one and then divide it by 4....
which of the option gives an integer value is the correct ans
(182-18)/4 gives an int value
other option do not give int value so
ans:18

I have also seen these type of question where no, of vehicle is not provided. only total no. of wheels is given. atq, possible number of bicycles is asking so we need to go through options and solve it by hit and trial method, as given possible no. bicycle, so we need to give max number of bicycle that can place there, they are not asking for exact number of bicycle, so 19 is the correct option. 19*2=38
182-38=144 which is divided by 4. so 19 is the correct option
